INDIVIDUAL SEWING LESSONS

Sewing Lessons for Charter School Students, Home School Students and Individuals

We offer one-on-one sewing lessons for local charter and home school students, as well as other individuals wanting to learn to sew. We are a registered vendor for many charter schools, so voucher funds can be used for lessons.  You can find us on the vendor list for the following Charter Schools:

Cottonwood, South Sutter, Harvest Ridge, Forest Charter, Arete Charter, Horizon Charter, Clarksville, and Feather River.

Even if you are not with a Charter School, you can book individual lessons with us. Please contact me to inquire about lessons for your child or yourself.

SEWING TEACHERS

Elizabeth McComb

I am a professional clothing and costume designer with my own clothing design business that offers unique, handmade clothing and costume pieces with a historical feel.  In my more than 30 years of experience I have developed a unique set of sewing and design skills that I love to share with others. I can teach anything from beginning machine or hand sewing up to advanced clothing construction, costume design, alterations, interior design products, or anything else you can dream up!

Sally Mitchell

I taught myself to sew when I was 12, on an old treadle machine in our basement. I took sewing in my first year of high school at age 13, and made all my own clothes throughout high school, while also working in a fabric store. It was a great family adventure to drive to the next county to a huge mill end store!  I am still sewing today and love teaching. I have a background in art and graphic design, so sewing allows me to harness my sense of color and design into something practical!  See you in class!
